The Sales Market

Despite the credit crunch and the associated difficulty in obtaining finance to purchase residential property, Lexingtons has noticed continual demand for properties at realistic prices in the Belsize Park and surrounding areas.

Many vendors have decided to remain in their current property and wait  for an upturn in the market before putting their property on the market for sale.

As a result of this Lexingtons is still short of instructions to offer to prospective purchasers.

If you are considering selling your property, why not request a free valuation and hometrack report from Lexingtons.

The Rental Market

There is a theory that people have to live somewhere and that if they decide not to buy in an area, they have to consider the option of renting. Therefore rents should increase and there should be strong demand for quality properties from tenants that would have been buyers.

This is certainly the case for smaller one and two bedroom flats in the areas of Belsize Park, Hampstead and surrounding.

However demand for larger properties has decreased as many overseas corporate companies have reduced the number of tenants coming to London. Indeed many overseas companies are returing their employees back to their country of origin and  not replacing them.

If you have an empty property and are considering renting it, Lexingtons have been renting and managing properties since 1992 with many connections to overseas companies and other professional tenant groups.
